Military
Family Support Center
The purpose of the Military Family
Support Center is to be of assistance to active duty military and their
families, who are facing deployment, or who have already been deployed.
VFW Post 9960 is here to rally round family members left behind.
Guiding the family member through the channels for emergency financial
assistance, or finding information geared towards children, or whether it
is just to have someone to talk to, VFW Post 9960 is a resource center
dedicated to our service men and women and their families.
Criteria
Immediate family members are identified as
those dependents listed as dependents under the military DEERS program,
i.e. spouse, son, or daughter. Dependents
must maintain residence with service member or be in a residence under the
service member’s obligation to maintain.
Emergency situations are due to an
immediate need brought about by an event or events beyond the control of
the individual or family member and NOT due to mismanagement of family
income and/or extravagant expenditures.
