History
Due to the generosity of the Piner family donating the land needed to establish our organization, W.E. Baggs Sr. to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9960 was chartered on March 21, 1968. Our first commander was Horace Morris. The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 9960 was chartered the following year, and the Men's Auxiliary was chartered June 2004. For over thirty years, our post and auxiliaries have served not only veterans and their families, but the community as well.

Hours of Operation
12:00p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Sunday
8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Saturday
10:00a.m.-10:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
(Galley closes one hour prior to post closing)

Weekly canteen functions include:
Monday and Friday free lunch served at 11:00 a.m.
Monday Line Dance lessons: Beginners at 5 p.m. and Beginners & Intermediate at 6 p.m.
Tuesday night Bingo! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Open to the public
Friday there is a Pool Tournament at 7 p.m.
Saturday breakfast served 8:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

November 1-2 Buddy Poppy Drive Sign up in the Canteen

November 3 MOC Scratch 7:30 pm

November 8            Veteran's Day Dance: Carolina Band  8-12 pm
                                 All Veterans Get In Free!   Open to the public

November 10           Veterans Day Free Luncheon 11 am - 1 pm

November 13           VFW / Auxiliary Meetings 7 pm

November 27            Thanksgiving Day Dinner 11 am - 1 pm
                                 If attending please bring a dessert
